As a photographer, shooting the wedding of someone you’ve known for years is always a special treat. I’ve known Andrew for several years now and if you’ve peeked through my social media, you may recall that he called me up last winter to photograph his surprise proposal to his lovely girlfriend Nicole.
The first time I met Nicole was at the proposal, which Andrew had cleverly disguised as a Christmas card session out on Folly Beach, and it was immediately apparent that she and Andrew have a very special and playful relationship. Click here for some favorites from the session! Even though it was positively FREEZING, these two were adorable.
It was so much fun to get to come along for the whole ride, from snapping Andrew popping the question by the ocean to watching these two seal their vows with a kiss under the ancient live oaks of The Stables at Boals Farm.
If you’ve never been to The Stables at Boals Farm, this Daniel Island venue is known for its special brand of rustic elegance. Pastures of horses border the barn and stables, while a patio and fire pit flank the opposite side of the barn.
Andrew and Nicole had their ceremony under the oak trees before grabbing some photos while their guests enjoyed a cocktail and some appetizers in the barn. After dinner, everyone hit the dance floor under the cafe lighting or enjoyed the fire pit and smores station, but I think you can tell from the pictures that the couple spent most of their evening on the dance floor. Could they be cuter?
Thank you again to Andrew and Nicole for having me as your photographer. It has been such a pleasure to tell your story, and I can’t wait to see what adventures lie ahead for you both!
