When Mike first called me about doing his and Ryan’s wedding, I knew I wanted to work with them. These two are the loveliest, most smiley, genuine people, and of course that carried through into their wedding photos. (You’ll actually see Mike & Ryan’s engagement session up on the homepage!)
This sweet couple picked Creek Club at I’on for its refined and elegant yet distinctly Charleston feel and epic marsh views, and they got ready in separate neighboring rooms at the Palmetto Inn just down the road.
What were my favorite parts of Mike & Ryan’s wedding?
I genuinely don’t know where to start. I loved their distinct yet complementary styles (Those shoes! That bowtie!), I loved their groomsmaids, I loved all the unique and sophisticated details.
I loved their New Orleans style parade exit and that they served up King cake after their normal wedding cake (A wedding with two cakes?! Sold.). I loved that Ryan sang Mike a song instead of doing a first dance (not a dry eye in the place).
Most of all, I loved how much these two wore their hearts on their sleeves. Have you ever seen two people so overwhelmed and thrilled to have finally found each other? Every moment of this wedding was filled with deep belly laughter or sweet tears of joy.
Congrats again, Mike & Ryan!
